Mary Queen of Heaven’s St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry

I’ve been doing volunteer work with this local Brooklyn food pantry for 15+ years – in July 2025 I was able to donate my creative efforts to help in their participation in a social media campaign for the United Way organization. United Way is a non-profit that helps fund food pantries around New York City, and in light of an announcement of government grant funding being cut, United Way launched the campaign “Don’t Take Our Plate”.

I worked with the pantry organizers, as well as some of our regular pantry visitors, to gather stories about the importance of this food pantry and others like it. You can view the 60-second video, following the brief from United Way, below.
